Raise money for Puerto Rican students
Donation protected
On September 20, 2017, a category 5 hurricane named Maria struck the coastal town of Yabucoa, Puerto Rico. Due to the hurricane, the cost of school supplies in Puerto Rico has significantly increased, preventing many students from affording the school supplies they need. Project Backpack strives to improve the educational experience of Puerto Rico students by donating school supplies to them, giving them the tools they need to succeed.
We need the funds by mid-August, which is just before the beginning of the school year, in order to give them time to receive the supplies and organize them before students come in.
We are hoping for all the funds we can get, as every penny counts towards a brighter future for promising students in Puerto Rico. We appreciate every contribution you can make!
