Raise money to get life saving heart surgery

Hi my name is Robert I’m a 34 year old man with three amazing kids and a beautiful wife unfortunately when I was a teenager I was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy which is a thickening of the left ventricle the condition has a high risk of death and a high risk of strokes my condition has slowly got worse over the years. But In 2019 I had a cardiac arrest which luckily I survived because I have an icd fitted although I survived I’m a shadow of the man I used to be as I’m scared to push my body and wonder each day if I will get to see my kids grow up and each time I feel a flicker in my heart wonder what will happen to me

I had started discussing surgery with the NHS and it was looking likely to happen until covid hit and now I haven't seen a cardiologist in over two years as they keep cancelling my appointments which is extremely frustrating as I won’t die of covid but I might of my heart condition. Unfortunately my condition is more common in elderly patients and somthing my treatment hasn’t reflected that I’m a lot younger than most of the people that have it

I went to see a private doctor in desperation and they were very helpfully and positive but I simply couldn’t afford the service

The surgery they are advising I need is open heart where they will cut down the enlarged ventricle to allow blood flow and soften the heart muscle

my condition is getting worse to the point I now have to rest at the top of the stairs after walking up.

I wish I could be able to run around the garden with my kids but that has become impossible

if I can raise the money to get this surgery It will improve and extend my life so much but it will also mean I can be there for my kids and run up and down with them like I see other dads doing

I have already gone two years without any help and my life is on pause until I can get surgery but my kids are growing so fast and I don’t want to waist anymore time
