Vital funds to help Cadi during Cancer treatment
Donation protected
On 21st October Cadi was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma.
Rhabdomyosarcoma (also known as RMS) is a type of sarcoma cancer that affects the muscles that are attached to the bone. Rhabdomyosarcoma tumours occur mostly around the head and neck. Rhabdomyosarcoma cancer is the most common type of soft tissue sarcoma to occur in childhood, accounting for 53 per cent of cases. Soft tissue sarcomas account for 6% of childhood cancers, with just over 100 children diagnosed every year in the UK.
There will be several fundraising events taking place over the coming weeks to raise money to help Cadi and her family whilst she is undergoing surgery and treatment. The money raised will go towards travel costs to travel to and from Addenbrookes and to buy essential items to allow Cadi to continue with her school work whilst she is not able to go to school. I will be walking the Boudicca walk (36 miles) on the 25th November all in one go. Any donations raised will make a massive difference to Cadi in keeping her as comfortable as possible and allowing her family to be with her throughout her hospital stay and chemotherapy appointments. Cadi and my daughter Theia have been the best of friends since they first met 8 years ago even sharing the same birthday with Cadi being one year older. Cadi is about to turn 12 years old and the kindest hearted girl. Please help support Cadi with any amount you can spare.
