Raising funds for Cancer Research UK in memory of my Nana
As some of you may know, we sadly lost my Nana, Anne Young in early March 2025. Although as a family we’re devastated at her passing, we were faced with the reality of losing her in December 2022 as she had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of skin cancer with a bleak diagnosis unless urgent action was taken.
Thankfully, less than a week after the formal diagnosis of her condition, Nana underwent successful surgery which allowed her to spend another 2 priceless years with us all which would not have been possible without the NHS.
To help with the ongoing research and work that is being done by Cancer Research UK, I have agreed to run a total of 100 miles in April in my Nana’s memory with the aim of raising funds for Cancer Research UK.
You can track my progress on my Strava as I aim to complete around 5km a day.
