Raising funds for children at Burkina Faso, West Africa
Donation protected
CAFI (Center for Assistance and Comprehensive Training) is an association created by Brazilians in 2014 in one of the poorest countries in the world called Burkina Faso in West Africa. The association develops protection programs for children, teenagers and women within a social vulnerability situation.
They work on 4 main pillars:
• Foster Care Homes where we currently have 35 children under our care
(orphans, former street children, vulnerable children). Construction of
complex for 80 boys
• School of Professional and Educational Courses (adult literacy, IT,
carpentry, robotics, handcraft, sewing, photo and filming, electric,
educational support and guitar)
• Assistence to street children (called garibous)
• Community development in villages
Roberto Fernandes and Simone Goedert Fernandes from Santa Catarina have been living in Africa for 12 years and are the founders of CAFI.
Currently, 90% of the Association's support comes from churches, companies and Brazilian citizens, who together offer dignity to hundreds of children, teenagers and women.
An administrative and fiscal council was created in Joinville/SC. It audits the association's accounts in Africa and Brazil since 2017
