Support humanitarian aid for children in Gaza

Dear friends and family,
Like many of you, our family has been heartbroken and felt helpless during the recent chaos and atrocities in Palestine and Israel. As a Jewish-Arabic family with a 3 year old and a baby on the way, we feel the urgent responsibility to support the children of Gaza with humanitarian aid. We also demand a release of Israeli hostages and immediate cease fire.
We understand the complexity of this situation and recognize that this may feel uncomfortable for many. For a moment, let’s put aside debate and embrace the shared belief that all humans are equal and all children should be protected.
We are raising money to support the Middle East Children's Alliance (MECA) a non-profit organization that we have visited and supported in the past. They are a well vetted and established organization. Any donation will help make an impact. They are based here in Berkeley and they have people on the ground in Gaza providing medical aid, food, and clean water to children and their families.
Our family will be matching contributions up to $3,000, for a total of $6,000 to MECA. All of the funds raised go directly to MECA.
