Raising funds for community work in Tanzania
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Oliver and through my school, I have the opportunity to volunteer in Tanzania in 2026. I need to raise £5000 which is a huge challenge but I am determined to get there.
My first challenge is to swim, walk and cycle a total of 1,424 kilometres. This is the length of the coastline of Tanzania. I’m doing this to keep in mind the children in Africa who have to walk miles for the necessities we take for granted.
During this expedition, we will be building classrooms , constructing and refurbishing community buildings and installing water storage systems. We will learn more about the challenges they face in the area and learn more about sustainable solutions.
We will have opportunities to actively help tackle issues of deforestation and habitat protection.
Through working hand in hand with local people we will learn about local economies and environmental project work.
This will be a life changing opportunity and I am prepared to work hard to make it happen.
I will be taking on number of challenges over the next 18 months to fundraise the £5000.
