Raising funds for Galoa Island, after Cyclone Yasa
Bula re friends and family.
Tropical Cyclone Yasa, Category 5, hit Fiji a few days ago leaving a trail of devastating effect on the peoples lives, homes, water systems, plantations and livestocks.
Many places were affected gravely, including the island my Mum is from, Galoa island in Bua. We are trying to raise funds to help our family in Galoa get water, food, clothes and building materials.
I kindly request your assistance ❤️❤️

Info and update 20.01.2021
Since Cyclone Yasa, the affected islands and places in Fiji have received assistance from various platforms.
I have been keeping in touch with cousins on the island and Mum and getting updates from them regarding the latest with the rebuilding in Galoa.
The Australian defence force onboard the Australian Navy ship HMAS Adelaide and the Fiji Military have
been in Galoa island to rebuild Galoa island Primary school, which was also severely damaged during the
Cyclone. The Fiji Navy divers are assisting the Water Authority of Fiji to put together the pipes underwater that supplies water to Galoa from the mainland. There has also been other organizations and locals giving a
helping hand in the rebuild of the village.
