Raising Funds for Men's Mental Health

Larry Doyle, Managing Director of Roto Spiral Ltd, is growing his hair and beard until December to raise funds for Men's Aid, Teac Tom, and local Men's Sheds. His goal is to raise €10,000 to support these essential charities.

He is hosting a fundraising event on the 7th of December in The Jerpoint, Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny, where he is getting his beard & head shaved. He is also getting his chest and back waxed on the night.

Teac Tom provides critical mental health support and suicide intervention services for those in need. With no government funding, Teac Tom relies entirely on the generosity of individuals, businesses, and the wider community to keep their doors open and continue delivering these life-saving services.

Men’s Aid Ireland offers a confidential, victim-centered service that ensures male victims of Domestic Violence and Coercive Control receive the support they need to stay safe. Their human rights driven approach helps men reclaim their lives in the face of these challenges.

Supporting men's mental health is crucial, as many men struggle in silence. By fundraising for these organisations we aim to break the stigma and ensure every man has access to the care, support, and resources he needs to face life’s challenges head on. Together, we can make a difference.

“ Throughout my years in business, I’ve witnessed first hand the profound impact mental health issues have had on friends, colleagues and clients. Having faced my own challenges and seen how underfunded and overstretched services have become, I feel driven to try to make a difference. I hope the funds raised through this fundraiser will directly support men who are struggling.

The resources available to men in distress are limited and pushed to their breaking point. By raising funds and awareness, we aim to ensure that more men can access the support they desperately need.

Mental health is a societal issue that affects men from every walk of life. Depression knows no boundaries of race, class, or background.”
