Raising funds for Oren’s heart surgery (CHD)

Help us to provide my son Oren Iver a life-changing heart surgery and care.

My son Oren Iver was 18 weeks still in my womb when he was diagnosed with a double aortic arch, a rare congenital heart defect (CHD). With this condition, there is both a left and right aortic arch, which completely incircle the trachea and esophagus. By the grace of God Oren was born without the need to have an emergency heart surgery right away after his arrival.

But now that he is growing, Oren already has 50% of his esophagus restricted and the surgery needs to be done before he starts eating solids to prevent choking (he is currently eating purees). And also to help him to breathe better so he can crawl, play, and eventually run and jump like a normal kid without coughing or getting fatigued.

We are a household with only one income. Not too long ago I had to resigned from my job to take care of Oren, and this forced my husband (who is a disabled veteran) to enroll me and our son to his insurance from work but it' doesn't have very good coverage. After seeing my husband carrying this burden, and getting no sleep even though he has been medicated by his VA doctor, I am creating this go found me to help release the financial stress from his shoulders while we focus and care for Oren. This money will cover the deductible $10.000 for this surgery and exams. And the other $5000 will help us to cover Go Found Me Fees, and our stay in Austin Texas for two weeks one in the hospital another in a hotel by the request of the doctors, in case Oren has a post-surgery emergency. This Will also cover the multiple unplanned visits we have to do in January, February and March for Oren’s pre-ops and after surgery check ups.

Oren is a miracle child. And We know God is holding him in his hands. He has been treated at Dell Children’s Hospital in Austin, Texas. 2 hours away from were we live in Bryan, Texas.

SURGERY IS SCHEDULED for FEBRUARY,14,2022.
