Raising funds for the Whittaker’s

Hi, my name is Sarah and I am wanting to raise money to support one of my colleagues Tracy Whittaker and her family. Tracy’s husband Glyn was diagnosed with right sided throat cancer in June 2023. Glyn had a 7 week treatment of radiotherapy and 3 courses of chemotherapy which ended in September 2023 and he was given the all clear on the 19th January 2024. Devastatingly, 3 days after this, Glyn was informed that the cancer had managed to spread to both lungs and it was incurable. The recent update that Glyn has been given is that the cancer has almost doubled in his lungs, they have also found a small tumour in his neck and something on his liver. Glyn will be starting treatment at some point, it is unclear what the schedule for this will be at the moment.

Tracy is an invaluable part of her team and we want to do anything we can to support Tracy and her family. We will be raising money, which the family can then use in whatever way they would like too, through having a bake sale, arranging a pamper hamper and completing a charity walk. For anyone that would like to join us on the walk, there will be a cost of £10 (more information on the walk to follow in due course). We would like as many people as possible to join us on this walk so please share this information far and wide! Even if you’re unable to participate in any of the fundraising activities, please could you donate some money for this wonderful family.
