Raising Funds for Trevor's Medical Bills

Our father, Trevor is a well-respected and much-loved man by all of us who are lucky enough to know him. Trev has always been passionate about making positive contributions to the community, to his family and his friends. He is known for his hard-working nature and dedication to his loved ones, friends and to our Tweed Community.

Unfortunately, on the 28th December 2022, Trev was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, a Neuroendocrine Tumour of the Liver, which has affected his gallbladder. This type of cancer accounts for about 1% of all gallbladder tumours. Along with chemotherapy, he needs to have Immunotherapy which is the treatment of Neuroendocrine tumours and helps the body's immune system fight the cancer cells.

Immunotherapy has shown promising results in treating Neuroendocrine Tumours and can be an effective option for this type of cancer, but because of the rarity of this type of cancer Immunotherapy, unfortunately, is not covered or even subsidized by the government.

The cost of his treatment is $60,000. The first instalments for cycle 1 of the treatment have been paid, but we still need $50,000 to cover the remaining expenses.

As you can imagine this news of Trev's diagnosis has been a shock and devastating for us all and we understand that $50k is a large target, but any support, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated. We appreciate all the support, to help us give our father, Trevor the best fighting chance of recovery.
