Raising Funds in memory of George Rossi....
George Rossi was only 60 when he passed but boy did live a life! We all remember him weekly visiting our living rooms as the much-loved character DC Duncan Lennox In The Bill, just one character in his 40-year acting career that made him a household name. He first appeared on the big screen in the film Comfort and Joy playing Bruno, a character echoing his up bring in Glasgow in his Italian family’s ice cream business. From Roughnecks to Cornetto ads, A view from the Bridge to Whitechapel, he graced the stage, screen and tv. George also dabbled in directing and writing and had projects he was still working on. He was a canny Scot and ventured into the property business so that he always had an income to provide for his beloved family. George will be remembered by his family and friends as a warm, loving man with a huge heart and smile, who adored his two children Tillie and Sonni and wife Catrin. A man who loved Italy, refurbishing his childhood family holiday home in Valvori, where his father originated from before emigrating to Glasgow. His Italian family and friends will miss his regular visits. Oh George, you will be so missed, so let’s raise some cash so that we can find a treatment that means families and friends will not lose loved ones through this terrible disease.
