In support of Terry Bisogno

Affectionately known as “The Voice of Long Island”, Terry Bisogno is a pillar in the world of racing and endurance sports as well as the Long Island Community at large. Despite battling a severe illness that has taken a toll on his body and mind, he has been committed to remain involved in our world.

Though medical insurance covers a large portion of chemotherapy costs and other treatments, there are a large number of expensive co-pays that aren't. Chemo, surgeons, specialists, cat & pet scans and prescriptions plus other unexpected expenses related to patients undergoing cancer treatment. These often overlooked and financially burdensome expenses include things like the cost of special diets, a new wardrobe, and transportation to and from treatments, just to name a few. The financial strain is further compounded by the unfortunate loss of wages due to excessive time off during treatment.

I am appealing to the hearts and kindness of my fellow running/tri community, his friends and anybody that knows Terry to come together to help cover some of these expenses and to also show our support during this difficult time.

Terry has been known to spend hours upon hours of his own time researching and memorizing little-known facts and stats about every athlete to make the feeling of crossing that finish line even more memorable.

There are countless stories of how Terry has made somebody feel so special with a unique shoutout or compliment at the finish line; now is our chance to show him how special he is to us!

Getting Terry to accept help wasn't easy, so whatever you can do to help our friend in his time of need, is much appreciated. Every dollar makes a difference.
