Preparing for the 2022 CA Bar Exam

Hello there! My name is Alexis Logan, and I am currently in my final year at UC Davis School of Law. I am raising funds to help pay for costly Bar expenses and to mitigate my concern about working while studying for the 2022 California Bar Examination.

I would like to share a little about myself and my professional aspirations. I come from a family of nine, consisting of my mother, father, and six siblings. (I am the second oldest!) During undergrad, I majored in International Relations and minored in Japanese. I am the first in my family to receive a bachelor’s degree and I will be the first to receive a graduate degree—which is deeply rewarding. I love being outdoors, whether I am hiking, running, or taking a stroll. In my downtime, I enjoy watching horror, mystery, and true crime content. To put it another way, a great day for me is taking a morning hike and then coming home to wind down with my cats and binge horror movies. (Luckily, Netflix has so much content!)

I have a strong interest in pursuing a career in employment law and fortunately, I have taken classes and worked several jobs within the field. I am immensely grateful to acquire experience in a field of my interest while receiving a wage to help cover my monthly bills. Being a full-time student while working has been an ongoing theme since my community college days spanning from 2011. Through my recent work experience as a Law Clerk, it has solidified my interest in becoming an attorney practicing employment law. Before I can become an attorney, I must first take and pass the Bar.

I am taking the 2022 California Bar in July—and it is just around the corner! Ten weeks prior to the exam date is dedicated to solely studying for the Bar. Typically, the Bar study regimen is quite intense: 6-7 days/week of studying that starts about a week after graduating in May 2022. The month of May will likely be a jubilant and laborious time. The funds I receive from this Gofundme will tremendously help cover my Bar expenses and support my endeavor to not have to work during my Bar studying.
