Raising Funds to Train Max for JM (JM's Journey)

Hello, I am Stacy Peebles, James Michael's meme. James Michael, or JM as we call him, was born April 27, 2016 and was diagnosed with moderate to severe autism in January 2018. JM is nonverbal and tends to bolt and run. In addition, he has severe issues with crowded places, which prevents outings with family or friends. JM's doctors and therapists have recommended a therapy dog to help him cope with everyday life. This dog will be specially trained to comfort JM during meltdowns and prevent him from bolting and getting lost. Should he become lost, the dog will lead him home or to a safe place until he can be located and recovered.

James Michael has been gifted a dog for training from a breeder who is a friend. Max, a labrador retriever, will become a part of the family in about three weeks and become acquainted with JM. He will begin his "in-house" training at six months to become a service dog. This training costs $15,000, and we need your help! We ask for your donations to help give JM a service dog to help him become independent and live a productive life.
