Raising Hope for the Keast Family

Most of you know, but on February 3rd Jeremy was taken to Gladwin Hospital by his wife and son for what was thought to be severe case of acid reflux. But once they arrived, the beginning of the battle began. The staff confirmed he had some sort of blockage, and was actually having a heart attack. Fears set in by all three of them as family was called and the ambulance was prepped for transport to Midland Hospital. While the chaos ensued, Julia was informed Jeremy’s insurance was not valid.. she knew this was going to be rough but he took priority. They gave him a medication in hopes to help clear the blockage. Once in Midland a heart cath was done to check for blockage and damage. After a scary wait and preparing for the unknown Jeremy was out of his procedure and the doctor had some news.
Thankfully the medicine they gave him before transfer broke the blockage up, so he just needed to have a small artery ballooned. No stent was needed nor was any damage done to his heart! The doctor said he would be monitored for bleeding and should be able to come home Monday or Tuesday after an ICU stay and step down.
Thankfully he came home on Monday, currently he is unable to work until he recovers and is cleared medically. With cardio therapy three times a week, still being involved in his kid’s daily life and recovering it is clear it’s going to be a process.
They have received their bill for his weekend of traumatic events to find themselves at a loss.
As two people who work in our community, they need our help, give anything if you can to show them they are not alone on this battle.
