Raising money for Colby's Chemotherapy

Hello everyone, my name is Alicia, and I'm fundraising money for our dog, Colby. He is 11 year olds, and by far the happiest dog we've ever met and have had. However, he recently got diagnosed with mast cell cancer which is the most common skin tumor in dogs. Mast cell tumors (MCT) are malignant tumors that are made of mast cells, a type of white blood cell that plays a role in allergy responses. His cancer originated in his left hind paw pad. We saw the oncology surgeon who initially recommended surgery for removal, however, after doing a fine needle aspiration of a lymph node, they found out that it was spreading. The new recommendation is for oral chemotherapy 1-3 days a week for the rest of his life. The current MONTHLY cost for his chemotherapy medication plus repeat labs every month if estimated to be between $1,000-$1,300. This is a lot for anyone, and some of you may be thinking why not just put him down? However, if you've met Colby, you have experienced the LOVE that he radiates. He is the HAPPIEST dog ever. You could simply say his name, or just be having a normal conversation, and his tail is always wagging. He wags his tail so fast that it could almost knock you out. That's how happy he is. He LOVES CUDDLING, ATTENTION, AND EATING. He will gladly steal his brother's food morning and night if he doesn't finish it and will snuggle into your lap for cuddle time. He thinks he's a lap dog even though he's like 65 lbs and will sit on your legs crushing you lol. He already had herniated disc surgery repair 2 years ago and he healed so well. We know the outcome of his cancer isn't the best, but he is such a trooper and we just want to enjoy his last moments with him while we can. He'll let us know when it's time, but for right now, he's happily eating to his hearts content and rolling in the dirt when we're not looking, living his best life.
