Raising money for Declan’s funeral
On Friday june 11 we sadly lost our declan
Cassidy to mental health. Declan was a loving well spoken boy who never had a bad word to say about anybody. He was loved by
everyone. As a family were all devastated
and still can’t come to terms with any of it it’ll never seem real. Mental health is a topic that
is often pushed a side especially when it
comes to males and as a result there are times like
these that just leave families with so many
questions.
We’re constantly asking ourselves why ? Whatif ? How? And we’ll never know the answer it’s heartbreaking. We’ve never felt a pain like it. Declan’s sisters, brothers, dad, cousins, nieces, nephews, girlfriend grandparents and friends have all been left with a whole that will never be filled.
Having lost his mum back in 2015, declan
always managed to keep a brave face even
at the hardest of times. We know jane would
have welcomed declan with the biggest of
hugs and gave him the best bed up there❤️.
There’s no comfort in times like these it’s full
of anger, hurt and confusion but with the help of friends and family we can all get through
this together.
writing this now just doesn’t sit right with me. It never will I can never come to terms with
the fact that he’s really gone.
having spoken with the funeral organisers, it isnow time for us to begin the process of laying Dec to rest and ensuring he gets the send off
he deserves. He’d want it to ‘go off’ as he’d say we’d appreciate as much as we can get at
the minute and will ensure declan gets his final party ❤️
