Raising money for home health care. MS SUCKS.

Hi my name is Stephanie. My best friend, Jennie, has been suffering with the evil disease Multiple Sclerosis from a young age. It’s progression has slowly, over the 30 years I’ve known her, taken all of her mobility from her. She is now fully disabled and in need of home health care and the state she lives in (NC) is backwards on many things—offering assistance to those with disabilities being one of those things. We have been trying to find state and/or county assistance to no avail. Which brings us to here.

In order to allow Jeremy to work he needs to leave the house, leaving Jennie to her own devices which is just not an option anymore. It is critical she has someone with her at all times. We are fundraising for an in home health provider a few hours a day, couple days a week. This is all out of pocket because all avenues for assistance have been vetted and we’ve hit a wall.

Jennie is one of the kindest, non-judgmental, beautiful human beings to ever roam this earth. As we all know multiple sclerosis claims it’s victims randomly-there is no known cause and there is no known cure.

In all the years she has been living with this horrible disease, we have barely heard a complaint. She suffers silently most times and if anything she feels bad people have to help her!

At this stage in her MS (SPMS-secondary progressive MS), the doctors have told her she needs to be “comfortable”. That is all we are trying to achieve with this.
