Raising money for refugees in Camp Moria on Lesvos

Donation protected
I set up this page to help Hamdowalhamdow, who is a Syrian refugee that lives in Camp Moria for already one and a half years, to raise money for  people there to rent an acommodation or hotel-rooms, so they can at least sleep once in a warm bed and have a normal warm shower, especially those that are injured, and also to buy food for them and medicinie. And also for those whose asylum got denied to get a lawyer to improve the procedure.

There are about 12. 000 refugees in Camp Moria on Lesvos. People there have to live under the inhumanest conditions.  Not even the basic needs are met.
No hygenic toilets, people have to shower in the ocean, no warm place to stay..actually no palce to stay at all, because a tent is not proper housing. They stay in tents and now that its  cold its even worse. Its windy and tents are getting flooded.  They are note even provided with enough food and if they want food they have to stay in line for hours  and then they end up with nothing because there is not enough food for everyone!
Europe is letting them down! But we can help them at least a little bit!
People fled from war, before that they had a life like me and you, they were not poor, they fled because they didnt have a choice and now they are put in this camp that is like a prison under really bad circumstances.
Lets show them that there are people that are humane, that care about them.

You can follow Hamdowalhamdow instagram page, he posts there daily about the life in Camp Moria:  https://www.instagram.com/hamdowalhamdow/

Since we already collected money thanks to you people Hamdou was already able to help people by buying groceries and providing food for them, buying heaters for the tents and also renting a hotel room so people can shower there.
In the following pictures you can see  for what the money was used for so far - for both of us it is very important to keep it transparent and show people for what the money is used.

Since there are over 12 000 people there, please keep sharing the cmapaign, tell your friends, your families - even if we already collected money but their suffering isnt ending, they still have to live there so lets spread the word so more people donate so we can provide food, heaters and things they need for living and make their life a little bit easier!!! :)

That is his  Hamdous story:
"I am a young man from Syria after things got difficult and the war started there. We fled to Turkey in Turkey. I was 12 years old. I started working there because those who do not work in Turkey cannot live and there are no rights for refugees, no salaries, or anything. I am a minor. I'm 12 years old. I've been working since 6 in the morning. In the morning until 7 pm, with my family of 8, and I am the oldest brother, due to the continuous work in Turkey. Soon, but I didn't do it after two years, my health deteriorated for the worse, I had to undergo the operation, and my 70-year-old father, who had a disease in his eyes and heart, had to work. In order to receive appropriate treatment and work here and monitor my family there, but I did not expect Europe to be this way because they refused my asylum with them and they did not help me with anything. My left kidney has pain and I need another operation on my nose because I have a fat lump And he caused me a headache, I had papers to prove this and he went to a doctor here, but he told me that we cannot take you to the hospital because he does not receive anyone from the camp and there is a ban due to the Corona virus and I have been here for a year and a half and how long will I stay until I do not know that the winter has come It is very cold and there is no cold shower and water. How am I going to be able to take a cold shower here because it would cause a lot of problems in my left kidney. I hope someone will listen to my story and I hope Europe can help us. Please listen to our story and help us leave the nationalities, religion and everything behind. We don't want anything at all. We just want to live in peace."

some more stories from people living there:

"There is a new chapter waiting for you. I hope you will be stronger than those who allowed you to stay in this season that is filled with cold, winds, storms and rain, but know, my child, that rain will spawn from the roses of jasmine and jawri with a better future, and those winds will remove the laws of tyranny against granting you the right to childhood, and the cold will turn into a warmth in an embrace Yes, your mother, you will be patient with cruel hearts, who like them made us not realize in which country we will live by the name of childhood. We appeal to you in order to save us
# Children are the decorations of life"

"Politics made me a refugee
Beginning I thank you for reading my words ...
I introduce myself to you ..
I am Haider Al-Tikriti from the country of Iraq, from the capital of Baghdad, the cradle of civilization and science, and the source of literature and scholars
My life began and my eyes opened in Baghdad from a family affiliated with the regime at that time. My father occupies an important position in the state.
His work was a private guard for the President of the Republic of Saddam Hussein, and at the same time he was his cousin and close friend
And I was living in peace without threatening my life and my future
Until the year 2003 ...!
Life was different in Iraq, it became a country
Destruction, killing, kidnapping, arrest, marginalization, and safety are gone
So we left Iraq to Syria 10 days after the end of the ruling because we were the decision-makers in that previous ruling and in the role of the American occupation. We are wanted or threatened with killing from Iranian parties and militias"

"How did you become a refugee
My name is Abdul Qadir Hassan Hamidi
I am 22 years old
From Syria, Hama, Qalaa Al-Madiq
I am from a family of lineage and from a family that is rich, not poor
How did my life begin
I was born without a mother, after my father separated from my mother, and I was one and a half years old at that time and I have a sister two years older than me
My father's mother adopted my upbringing and my sister adopted my father's sister
It was a close distance between us
After we entered school, my sister and I hear from friends with a name or we miss this thing. We asked about her. They told us that in my birth she died, and this is a lie to conceal the truth
My father had something important to me in my life and a big part of me was affectionate
For your information, my father is a Muslim and my mother is a Christian
This does not cause any problem for me
What is important after this I reached the age of 12 my mother's mother, who was (my mother), passed away
Here I mourned"
