Three Peaks Challenge for Charity
Donation protected
At the end of September Shayna and I will be attempting to complete the 3 peaks challenge to raise money for two causes close to our hearts
We aim to climb the three tallest peaks in the UK!
• Ben Nevis, Scotland
• Scafell Pile, England
• Snowdon, Wales
Just to complete the climb of all three would be an amazing experience but we are aiming to do it all within 24 hours including driving to each one! (We will try our best)
Any funds raised will be split 50/50 to the below causes.
The first cause is for 24yr old Brad Frain. Tragically in May Brad was found collapsed on the side of the road, he’d suffered a stroke at only 24. Brads mom, Susan, has set up a page with the target to raise £4,000 to donate to the hospital that is currently treating him and to help with brads recovery once he gets home.
Secondly we will be raising money for the charity Nacoa (National Association for Children of Alcoholics)
Growing up with and ultimately losing a parent to alcoholism myself, this charity and the work they do is very close to my heart. NACOA is funded by donations and run by volunteers, it also received some funding from the government for three years however that funding was recently cut.
The charity was founded in 1990 to address the needs of children growing up in families where one or both parents suffer from alcoholism or a similar addictive problem. This includes children of all ages, many of whose problems only become apparent in adulthood.
We appreciate any support while we carry out this challenge, and we hope we can support these two amazing causes
