Raising money for women against violence

Hello, my name is Victoria and I am a French exchange student who came to Ireland hoping to have a memorable and interesting experience.

I am attending Sacred Heart Clonakilty Secondary School this year as a Transition Year student.

In order to complete my Gaisce award I am challenging myself to complete a sponsor hike. My host family and I will climb Carrantuohill in May and I would be so grateful if you could sponsor me any amount as I am using this opportunity to raise funds for the WEST CORK WOMEN AGAINST VIOLENCE PROJECT based in Bantry.

I admire the work this charity does helping women. Since I was a little child I have felt strongly about feminist issues and equality for women. I grew up in a busy city where as a women I often feel vulnerable. So I sympathise with anyone who feel powerless or unable to use their voice. We are now in 2023 and I fell that it should not be normal for a women to be scared in the street or in they own home, or to be abused in any way by their partner.
