Raising money in memory of Willow

Hi everyone,

My name is Katie. I have set this fundraiser up to raise money for the LauraLynn foundation Locks of love . I will be donating 14 inches of my hair in memory of Williow Woo who’s is dancing in the skys

Anyone who knows me knows that my hair is my feature. I am very lucky that I know my hair will grow back so I have grown it out to give back and to at least make someone feel happy and put a smile on their face.

I have previously donated 16 inches to the Rapunzal Foundation in 2017 after begging my mam to let me cut it. She explained to me that I could give it away and make it into a wig for girls who have cancer and have lost there hair, immediately I knew that’s what I wanted to do.

It takes on average 10-20 ponytails to make one wig. Donations are to provide wigs and partial wig funding to long term hair loss sufferers, living in Ireland that struggle to cover the cost of these pieces which can cost anything from €1,000-€4,000.

So on the 30th January of 2025 I will be donating my hair again and I have chosen to do this in memory of Willow Woo who sadly passed away from an adult cancer called Rhabdoid tumour which is aggressive. I wanted to do something in her memory as Willow became very special to me in a different kind of way, her laughs and smiles would make your day and I will carry her memory with me forever

I've chosen to fundraise for LauraLynn Ireland's Children's Hospice. All funds raised here will go directly to this great cause and my hair will go to be sent to The Rapunzel Foundation . I hope you can help me by donating whatever you can xx
