IVF - Raising Rainbows
Donation protected
When we stood on the altar 6 years ago, we said "I do" to every accomplishment and struggle we would ever face. We jumped with two feet in and never looked back because we knew we had found our person and that was enough.
Our plan was to start a family about a year after we got married - well, a year turned in to 2 years when we realized we loved simply enjoying being married! When we were ready, we weren't expecting the darkest days of our lives. Over the next 2 years I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Endometriosis, MTHFR C677T double gene mutation, and a fibroid in my uterus. My husband and I went through 2 years of infertility services, went through 9 IUI's (intrauterine insemination), lost 5 tiny souls, recovered from 3 surgeries, and endured hundreds of needles. While we are better people - both individually and as a couple - it was nothing short of devastating to watch everything you have ever wanted completely vanish.
2 years after starting our fertility journey, I became incredibly ill. I lost 25 pounds, I couldn't eat, I was in constant pain and I could barely function. Test after test we were unable to determine what was wrong and I was sent to the Cleveland Clinic where they determined I had become ill with SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacteria Overgrowth) and needed some strong antibiotics. During that time I applied to fertility grants and was lucky enough to have been chosen to receive 2/3 of our IVF cycle paid for!
3 days before starting our first round of IVF in 2018, we found out I was pregnant! A spontaneous pregnancy that gave us our first earth-side baby boy, James Lyman. As we began looking to expand our family again, we have hit another road block and it has been recommended that we begin IVF. After speaking and looking at the positives and negatives, we have decided that IVF is our best chance at not only having another baby, but also keeping me out of pain. We need your help - every little bit counts and we are so grateful for each and every donation we receive! Paying for IVF was a difficult decision and we are having to pull our pennies together in order to make it happen but we know that it will be worth it. Every donation will help us fund this dream for our family.
We can't wait to raise our rainbows!
