'RAISING THE BAR' for Blackburn House Animals
Blackburn House Animal Shelter's objective is the advancement of animal welfare by looking after any animal handed into the Livery Yard. Whether abandoned, stray or in need of a new home - the lovely folks at Livery Yard provide the much-needed care these animals deserve. BHAS are currently in need of £10,000 to build new stables to shelter their cats, dogs and horses.
Myself and a small but dedicated group of (very strong) volunteers will be lifting a collective target weight of 100,000 KG by deadlifting, and pressing our way through a variety of weightlifting stations.
This event will be held at Victory Bespoke Ftiness, 6 Standhill Ct, Whitburn Rd, Bathgate EH48 2XJ from 10am - 1pm on Sunday 26th March 2023.
One year ago the 'wee' ray of sunshine, Angus the Irish Wolfhound, more affectionately known as Goose (pictured), found himself at Livery Yard. Angus came to his forever home, and we got to witness first-hand the important work BHAS do. An afternoon of hard work is the least we can do for such an important cause.
