Raising the Woof for Kiran - Bilateral TPLO surgery fund.

This isn't quite where I thought I'd be at, but here we are! Kiran is a very handsome (arent they all?) 5 year old Rotti/Shepherd cross who is what I like to call a 'Pampered Rescue' meaning he was born into rescue. Kiran's mom was brought in to be spayed and returned back home after weaning her pups, so he really hasn't had too hard of a puphood, we foster failed him shortly after. This may seem like the optimal situation, but his genetics have thrown him for a loop despite his luck on coming into rescue at an early age. Unfortunately, Kiran is dealing with Cranial Cruciate Ligament Disease in both his knees which is commonly seen in many Large Breed Dogs. Kiran was initially diagnost last summer (of 2023) when we initially started seeing mild changes in his mobility, which quickly turned into a constant discomfort with his leg while he performed regular day to day activities. After a consult with our orthopedic surgeon and some xrays it was confirmed, both knees were displaying effusion with mild instability. We made the decision to proceed with a TPLO surgery on his left leg first (September of 2023) as it was currently the one causing him discomfort. Now, here we are, 10 months later, and we are holding this boy back once again for yet another summer from everything he loves doing most. Because now his Right leg is causing him a world of pain if he attempts to do any type of fun summer pup activities. To sum it up, Kiran has saddly spent 2 out of 5 of his summers (incl this year, 2024) restricted due to medical issues.

☆ Where we are at personally: We are constantly chasing our bills, playing catch up and making sure our 'family' is taken care of first, aren't we all? Our family may look a bit different than others. They have toe beans that make the cutest little pawprints, wet noses, and furfetti that you learn to make a part of your day to day wardrobe... they are Our Family and we will do whatever is needed for them. Kiran has undergone his first TPLO surgery last September, has been in rehab up until this point and will be having his second TPLO surgery JULY 10th!!!

We are asking for your help. Help to cover the costs of Kiran's surgical bills. Of course we will ensure he gets what he needs, help or not... but with this comes a set back if we do not receive any help. For us, covering his medical bills means an extra two or more years of savings gone, which was initially meant to go towards our new home. We may seem like we live the dream, and we may be pretty darn close with unlimited fluffy butt snuggle sessions availableto to us at all times, but we are still struggling to reach our final goal of a solid roof over our heads for us as well as our puppers. We own an older (much older) mobile home that is a ticking time bomb and it is more than ready to be replaced! It hurts to pour repair costs into this place but we do what we have to to keep going. Our floors are starting to give out and the electricity bills are through the roof. We would really love to raise the roof above all of our heads sooner than later!!! We are currently on a 5-7yr New Home Plan .

The $3000 is only just a small step to our final ROOF goal (let's face it, that goal is much further north of that number), but we all need to start somewhere! Each knee has cost us ~$2500, totalling roughly $5000 for both. If we can even raise enough to cover 1 knees expense it would mean the world (& ROOF) to us all!

Kiran is a people lover, a bit selective to pupper friends, but would give all the blood in his veins to help another pupper out. He donates blood routinely, is a NEG universal blood donor and has 10+ donations under his belt to date. His next donation is scheduled for in August assuming all goes well in his healing process this month post-surgery.
