Raising Paisley Fund
Donation protected
My name is Lisa and I am one of the many friends and family that love Paisley. As a family friend, I have set-up this GoFundMe account for Paisley’s future. Paisley is 10 years of age, she is energetic, positive, a straight A student, fun, loving and kind. She loves to dance and sing – and she’s amazing at both! Her love for the Lord shines through everything she does. Growing up going to church, Sunday school, Awanas, and being part of the Discovery Bay community is her way of giving back and it is very important to her. This November, she’ll be part of the Youth Core at the 3 Day Breast Cancer walk in San Diego. This will be her mom’s 4th, 3-Day Breast Cancer Walk event, and the first time Paisley moves from cheering on the sidelines to helping with the event. Paisley has also been a Kaleidoscope Kid, they provide gift baskets to cancer patients and their families while they are going through treatment.
Paisley has witnessed more challenging times in her short 10 years that no child should have to experience. On October 1st, 2016, Paisley’s dad, Rick, tragically died in a horrific motorcycle accident. Paisley’s other challenges are, her mom, Malayni, was diagnosed with stage 3 triple negative breast cancer. A year later, her parents separated and they moved in with her grandparents. With her mom’s diagnosis, came 26 chemo treatments, 18 radiation treatments, and 7 surgeries. Paisley grew up watching as her mom suffered and fought her way to being cancer-free. There have been 2 cancer scares since then, and Paisley struggles with the fear that her mom may get cancer again. After getting cancer, her mom was unable to return to work as a color specialist and hair dresser due to the exposure of chemicals. She now works for Paisley’s school as a teacher’s aide, and since she can’t afford their own place, they still live with her retired parents.
Paisley is grieving her dad’s death and her mom is helping her as best she can, while Malayni is worried about how she can raise Paisley without Rick’s help. Paisley’s dad, Rick, he rode his Harley with the Outlaw Baggers in Reno, but he did not have any 401K, savings, or life insurance. Paisley needs dental work, braces, a college fund, and the normal things it takes to raise a daughter.
When I see the joy in the photos of Paisley with her dad, and remember how hard it was for her when her mom was sick with cancer, my heart breaks for her. By donating to this GoFundMe account you will be helping secure Paisley’s future. Please follow your heart and join me in helping Paisley to have what she needs for a bright future. Paisley takes life in stride and is grateful for what she has and what she has to offer to the world. I ask you to please invest in Paisley’s life and please follow your heart in helping to put a smile on Paisley’s face. No amount is too big or too small, any amount will help. Please share this GoFundMe account with family and friends. God bless and thank you for taking the time to share in Paisley’s life!
