Quem somos e o que é este projeto?
Com 150 anos de história, somos uma escola com 190 alunos, situada numa quinta na Vila de Cucujães, no norte de Portugal. Estamos prestes a transformar-nos num exemplo nacional de como educação, saúde e ação climática podem caminhar juntas.
Precisamos do seu apoio para criar uma grande horta escolar que forneça alimentos saudáveis para as nossas crianças, enquanto promove práticas agrícolas que regeneram o solo e respeitam o planeta.
A Nossa Visão: Agricultura Regenerativa
Ao contrário da agricultura convencional, a agricultura regenerativa vai além da sustentabilidade. Produz alimentos mais ricos em nutrientes, sem recorrer a fertilizantes químicos, ao mesmo tempo que restaura a saúde do solo, promove a biodiversidade e captura carbono da atmosfera, contribuindo para o combate às alterações climáticas.
Com esta prática, melhoramos a qualidade dos alimentos na escola e ensinamos as novas gerações a cuidar do planeta.
Com o seu apoio, queremos construir:
- Uma nova estufa com 135m² (5.000 €)
- Um sistema de rega eficiente para a horta de 2.000 m² (3.000 €)
Para garantir:
- A produção de vegetais frescos e locais para as refeições da escola durante todo o ano.
- A promoção da biodiversidade através de práticas agrícolas que respeitam o planeta.
- Uma educação transformadora, ensinando as crianças a cuidar da terra e do seu próprio bem-estar.

Who are we and what is this project?
As a 150 year old school with 190 students, located on a farm in the village of Cucujães, in northern Portugal, we are about to transform ourselves into a national example of how education, health, and climate action can go hand in hand.
We seek your support to create a big school garden that provides nutritious food for our children whilst promoting agricultural practices that regenerate the soil and respect the planet.
Our Vision: Regenerative Agriculture
Unlike conventional farming, regenerative agriculture goes beyond sustainability. It not only produces nutrient-rich food without any use of chemical fertilizers but moreover restores soil health, promotes biodiversity, and captures carbon from the atmosphere, helping to combat climate change.
Through this practice, we improve the school's food quality and teach new generations how to care for their planet.
With your support, we aim to build:
- a new greenhouse measuring 135m² (€ 5.000)
- an effective irrigation system for the 2.000 m² garden (€ 3.000)
This will ensure:
- The production of fresh, locally grown vegetables for the school’s meals every day of the year.
- The promotion of biodiversity through farming practices that respect the planet.
- Education with impact, teaching children to care for the earth and their well-being.

Wer sind wir und was ist dieses Projekt?
Wir sind eine 150 Jahre alte gemeinnützige Schule mit 190 Schülern auf einem Bauernhof in Cucujães im Norden Portugals. Wir sind auf dem Weg, uns in ein nationales Beispiel dafür zu verwandeln, wie Bildung, Gesundheit und Nachhaltigkeit gemeinsam Hand in Hand gehen können.
Wir bitten Sie um Ihre Unterstützung, um einen großen Schulgarten anzulegen, der unsere Kinder mit nahrhaften Lebensmitteln versorgt und gleichzeitig landwirtschaftliche Praktiken fördert, die den Boden regenerieren und den Planeten schützen.
Unsere Vision: Regenerative Landwirtschaft
Im Gegensatz zur konventionellen Landwirtschaft geht die regenerative Landwirtschaft über die Nachhaltigkeit hinaus. Sie produziert nicht nur nährstoffreichere Lebensmittel ohne jegliche Verwendung chemischer Düngemittel, sondern stellt auch die Gesundheit des Bodens wieder her, fördert die Artenvielfalt und bindet Kohlenstoff aus der Atmosphäre im Boden, was maßgeblich zur Bekämpfung der globalen Erwärmung beiträgt.
Durch diese Praxis verbessern wir die Lebensmittelqualität der Schule und lehren den nachfolgenden Generationen, wie man verantwortungsvoll mit Ressourcen und unserem Planeten umgeht.
Mit Ihrer Unterstützung bauen wir:
- ein modernes Gewächshaus von 135 m² (5.000 €)
- eine effektive Bewässerungsanlage für den Gemüsegarten (ca. 2.000 m²) (3.000 €)
Damit stellen wir folgendes sicher:
- Die Produktion von frischem, lokal angebautem Gemüse für die Mahlzeiten der Schule während des gesamten Jahres.
- Förderung der Biodiversität durch regenerative Anbaumethoden
- Bildung mit Wirkung, die den Kindern beibringt, sich um die Zukunft unserer Erde und ihr eigenes Wohlergehen zu kümmern.
