Rally for Amie: Broken Back and Support

Update: I had my first follow up today with the orthopedic Dr.  They did more X-rays and unfortunately I have to have surgery on my back or I will never walk upright again and I will always be in pain he says.  They are calling me later this week to schedule for next week.  They will be taking two rods, inserting them along with a balloon into both sides of my L1 vertebrae, blowing it up to create the space that was there prior to my accident.  They will then remove the balloon and fill the space with bone cement.  I am terrified and I am in horrific pain right now.

As some of you may know, our dear friend Amie Campbell experienced a tragedy first thing this morning.

As she was driving, someone hit her and totaled her car. She sustained serious injuries, the most critical being a broken back.

If you know Amie, you know that she endures things like this largely on her own. She is in the hospital at the moment but will be discharged and will have to remain immobilized for at LEAST two weeks. This means no work, no income, and the inability to take care of her precious cabin.

Amie will need money for the basics like food and medicine, but she will also need funds for a lawyer.

Please find it in your heart to donate what you can. I know we’ve all been touched by her own generosity. She really needs our financial support and emotional encouragement right now.
