Rally for Asher: Overcoming Severe Burns

On Thursday 11/21 our one year old son, Asher, suffered an incident, while outside of our care, where he received severe burns on his body. He was taken to St Luke’s Memorial campus emergency room. Once he was assessed he was transferred to LVHN Reilly Children’s Hospital in Allentown Pa. There he was admitted to the pediatric intensive care unit. He was discharged on 11/27, having spent the majority of his hospitalization over last week in the pediatric icu.

Asher has a long road ahead of him with doctor appointments, dressing changes, potential skin graft procedures if deemed necessary by his doctors, and finally physical and occupational therapy. Prior to this incident he was aways smiling laughing, and truly a happy boy befitting of his name.

We are starting this go fund me to help offset the loss of income as both myself and my husband Jared have and will continue to lose work days to care for Asher. Anything given will be a great help and thank you all for the kind words and messages during this terrible time.

Update: We want to thank everyone again for all of the prayers, love and support our family has received! Asher is slowly improving and at this point his doctors are hopeful we can avoid skin grafts but there will be scaring. He continues to live up to his name.
