Rally for Brittany: A Family in Need
Donation protected
On Wednesday, 1/22/25, my dear friend Brittany Merklinger suffered a cardiac arrest at her home in Ephrata, PA. She was sick with the flu and also has bad asthma when it happened. Since then, she has been in Ephrata Community Hospital in the ICU fighting for her life. At the time of this post, 1/25/25, she still has no brain activity and is still on life support. She was working for Ephrata School District as an aide part-time with no insurance of any sort. Her husband, Michael Merklinger, works for a family-owned plumbing company and in his free time volunteers as a fire police officer for Ephrata Fire Department, doing his very best to now try and take care of his wife’s medical bills and to continue to raise their 3 children, 13, 10, and 8. Although we don’t want to talk about or think about what the coming days are going to bring, we are pretty sure this is not gonna end well, respectfully. I am asking everyone if there is anything they can donate to help Michael Merklinger and his 3 amazing children with the burden of the rising cost of what is accruing and more than likely what the coming days are sadly going to bring. We are praying every day for a miracle and could definitely have some prayers sent in Brittany’s name. Thank you, everyone, who has taken the time to read this.
