Rally for Damian Smith- Boating Accident

In the early hours of Saturday, July 23rd on Taylorsville Lake in Kentucky, my amazing son-in-law Damian, and two friends were in a tragic boating accident. Damian was thrown several feet from the boat after it ran ashore, he suffered a fractured hip and a Morel-Lavallee Lesion to his right thigh. We are so thankful that God spared his life and that he was able to call for help. After search and rescue, all three men were transported to University Trauma Unit. Because of Damian's quick response, all three men are alive! They consider him a Hero. After seeking medical attention he found out that unfortunately Kentucky does not require boating insurance and their medical insurance may not cover the medical expenses or loss of wages from the accident. According to the Doctor Damian will be off his feet for 3-4 Months and could need additional procedures for the injuries. Damian is a loving Husband and the father of a 3-year-old daughter, Stella, and an 8-month-old son, Sterling.
