Rally for Jay Casella: Therapy Costs

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Jay has made HUGE strides! Now his parents face the road of recovery and physical therapy ahead for them all. Insurance only covers so much. The extensive therapy Jay needs for a full recovery such as hyperbaric chamber and red light therapy which alone will cost them $1,000 - $1500 weekly. He will need 2-3 months of treatment with these two systems and they will be paying out of pocket. ❤️‍ Right now the main focus is being able to offer Jay the necessary needs to have a full recovery, so let’s help ease this family’s burden so they can focus on Jay’s healing.

Friends and family of the beautiful Casella family, my name is Brianna Anderson and Jamie is my very best friend. Knowing in my heart her and Tim would never ask, I felt prompted to ask for them.

On Jackson’s 15th birthday his dad was cooking him a special meal for the big day and he had opened his presents and was so stoked to try out his sick new bike helmet. He went on a ride on his mini bike as he does often over to the high school near their neighborhood.

There were a lot of people there and Jay was waving at some people waving at him, turned forward, flipped down his helmet visor and didn’t see the steel fence barricade blocking the way in front of him. He went head on into the fence, which was thick enough to total a car. ❤️‍ His head took almost if not all of the impact. ❤️‍ He was rushed to the emergency room via ambulance and he has been asleep ever since. His injuries include a deflated lung, fractured rib, lacerations on lungs, minor spinal fracture and most importantly TBI, (traumatic brain injury) which has been the scariest and most unknown part of it all. Until Jay comes to, it is hard to predict what the next few weeks - months will look like. Right now the biggest focus is obviously his neurological recovery. ❤️‍

Every day the bills add up and I’d love to come together and help remove some of that burden for this beautiful family.
