Rally for Obsidian Absurd: Aid Her Recovery and Art

Obsidian Absurd, Miss Coney Island 2025, is in need of community support.

Artist, Producer, Friend, Community Member - no matter how you have gotten to know her, she has had an impact on us all. Her daring performances in sideshow and hypnotic danceshave dazzled you; her presence in the room has warmed you; her compassion and care for the communities she fights for have been unrelenting. Her work both artistically and as a community leader has won her the coveted and highly respected title of Miss Coney Island 2025.

But, Obsidian is struggling right now. She has suffered a number of injuries over the last few months, which has left her unable to find work and support herself. Performing is her main source of income, and medical professionals have advised her to take 6 weeks off to fully recover. While she is in the middle of doing so, Obsidian is also navigating moving out of an unhealthy apartment that was her home for a decade.

As you can imagine, the emotional and physical stress of her full situation would be too much for anyone to handle on their own.

She is doing everything in her power to get back on her fins for her year as Miss Coney Island, but she needs the support of her community.

This fund is not being run by her, but by her friends, who want her success and health to be at the forefront of her reign this year, and for her art to continue as swimmingly (wink) as possible.
