50501 Omaha: Rally For Revolution at the Gene Leahy Mall.

The 50501 Movement's next nationwide day of action is SATURDAY, APRIL 19th! We, 50501 Omaha and other local activist organizations, will be gathering in downtown/East Omaha this time (location currently being verified--hang tight!) at 1 pm.

Why so soon after April 5th, you ask? On January 20th, while Americans were distracted by the terrifying spectacle of the presidential inauguration, Trump signed an executive order that will enable him to invoke the Insurrection Act after 90 days--that's Sunday, April 20th. The Insurrection Act "empowers the president, with few legal limitations, to deploy U.S. military and federalized National Guard troops inside the country" (Hunter, 2025). This is a gross exploitation of executive power to impose Trump's bigoted, racist, xenophobic, and authoritarian agenda, which is clearly FIXATED on revoking our right to free speech and assembly.

We here in Omaha, Nebraska, along with millions of others across the U.S. and beyond, will not stand for any violations of our constitutional rights. We must organize, educate, and MOBILIZE to protect ourselves, our families, friends, and neighbors. Let's all show up downtown on Saturday, April 19th, to remind those in power who would have us feeling isolated and powerless the #1 truth they must never forget: The people united can never be divided!

The bigger these events, the more they cost to organize. 50501 Omaha would be extremely grateful for any amount you are able to donate. If you cannot donate, we encourage you to share this fundraiser on social media or among friends.

All proceeds will go towards 50501 Omaha's organizing expenses such as (but not limited to) event permits, rental equipment, promotional materials, hired staff, and/or potential fines and fees.
