Rally for Paige: Overcome Cancer's Challenge

As some of you may know, Paige Peterson Connolly was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in April of last year. After surgery and a TAMIS procedure, they came back with clean margins. Although she is monitored every 90 days for 5 years she is hopeful the surgery was a full success.

In September, Paige was hit again with a bi-lateral breast cancer diagnosis and underwent a double mastectomy on December 16th. After an initial report of “pristine” lymph nodes, the doctor’s office called on Christmas Eve to tell Paige that they did, in fact, find cancer cells in her lymph nodes. Paige will now have to undergo radiation and possibly additional treatments, on top of reconstructive surgery, further delaying her ability to return to work.

For years, Paige has dedicated her time and talent to capturing our most important life moments and helping people see their true beauty. She has photographed our weddings, milestones and countless other life events and she has taken care of our children, our communities, our families and our friends. Beyond her photography work, Paige has always been the first to help someone in need and donate her photography skills to countless charities and fundraisers.

Although Paige is fiercely independent and one of the strongest women that I know, it is now our turn to help her. Her new diagnosis will further delay her return to work. She has increasing medical bills, a large studio business with all of its bills and upkeep that she is solely responsible to maintain and a family to help care for. Jason also needs to be able to focus his energy on helping Paige recover and caring for Ryan and Waylon.

Paige has stated that any funds raised that are left unused when she is able to safely return to work full-time will be paid forward to other charities or towards photography sessions for cancer patients and their families.
