Looking for a source of inspiration? Allow me to introduce you to Ron Rosas, a special father to 4 amazing children, a loving husband to a devoted wife, and a loyal friend to so many. He grew up as a highly acclaimed national tennis player, and was an invaluable member of the 1992 NCAA finalist Notre Dame tennis team.
His life was recently turned upside down when both his arms and legs were amputated after a severe medical incident this past winter. Ron is someone who always puts the needs of everyone else before his own. But not this time. Now it's our turn to help him write the next chapter of his life.
If you don't know Ronnie, you're missing out. He's exceptionally kind, exceptionally humble, and possesses a "can do" attitude you'd be lucky to experience. Who do you know who, while being in the hospital just weeks after both his arms and legs have been amputated, would be thinking about what he can do to use his circumstances to impact the lives of others and "pay it forward"? Imagine how much your life would change if you had undergone a four-limb amputation. That's the reality facing Ron, and he and his family need your support.
Ronnie didn't give up when his doctors thought he wouldn't make it. He didn't slow down after any of his 10+ surgeries. He hasn't let his circumstances diminish the light he shines for others. But he's going to need help. The Rosas home will need to be remodeled to accommodate his mobility challenges, he will require ongoing care, he will require costly prosthetic arms, hands and legs, and he'll have to navigate what he can do for work. He faces a new life with limited (but gradually increasing) independence, which will come at a cost likely far more than what we're raising in this initial effort.
Asking for help is not easy for Ron or Victoria...that's why we're asking for them. It's our turn to put the Rosas family first, and our opportunity to show them how much they are loved. As he and Victoria take the next step on this unimaginable journey, please consider how you might help with the overwhelming financial burden they face.

- After falling ill on December 29, 2022, Ron was finally able to return home and begin settling into his new life over 200 days later, on July 18, 2023.
