Rally for The Learning Cycle: Medical Aid Needed

The Learning Cycle needs our help!

Many of you have known Billy and Caroline Witbeck, the owners of The Learning Cycle, for years. They have been a tremendous blessing to our community as they have come alongside us in our homeschooling journey. And I’m sure that you, like many of us, have found their presence and their encouragement to be extremely helpful and reassuring.

We now have an opportunity to be there for them. Two of their daughters have medical conditions that are profoundly affecting their daily lives and preventing them from being able to fully participate in school, work, and time with family.

The treatment for these conditions is costly.

First, we ask that you pray for them. Pray that God would provide healing and a path forward to get them the help that they need.

Second, we are asking that you make a financial donation. ANY amount is helpful.

Here is a letter from Billy and Caroline:

Our names are Billy & Caroline Witbeck. We have connected with many people that know us as owners of a family owned-and-operated homeschool store. What many do not know is that two of our daughters are dealing with long-term health issues – one with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) and the other with Lyme Disease. Despite a long list of practitioners, treatments, supplements and dietary changes over several years, both have had only slight improvements and they are still dealing with significant symptoms.

While we have been saddened and even dismayed that our girls have had to walk through such a difficult path, we continue to put our trust in God to heal and strengthen them in a way that He would be glorified. We have prayed daily for healing and that they might have their faith in Him strengthened through their trials.

Our girls are very private about their health, and so, for years we have not openly shared about what they have experienced. We thought we were protecting them from any additional emotional stress.

However, a friend recently shared with us about her personal experience with a treatment center named Biologix (biologixcenter.com). Not only were we amazed with her story of life-changing success, but also we were greatly encouraged by the story of Biologix and the conditions that they treat – including MCAS and Lyme, along with many of the symptoms our girls experience. On top of this, Biologix is “Working to restore God’s perfect, original design of the entire body” as stated on its website.

This is not just another appointment with another doctor, but an extended-stay treatment facility. Caroline would be traveling to Tennessee with the girls, while they go through three weeks of daily testing, treatment and therapy, with a future follow-up re-evaluation/consultation.

We do still respect the girl's desire for privacy. If you were to conduct a search for either Mast Cell Activation Syndrome or Lyme Disease, you would find many of the symptoms they are experiencing. We have been praying daily for six years for answers and feel the Lord is opening the door for us. We would be extremely thankful if you were to include us and our girls in your prayers.
