Rally for the Miller Family

It’s never easy asking for help, and this is no exception. The Miller Family has found themselves in desperate need for their friends, family and coworkers to rally on their behalf.

Amy Miller, a devoted wife, mother, daughter and friend, was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. This is a devastating diagnosis for anyone, let alone a working Mom running her household and raising 3 children.

Amy’s treatment plan has been wrought with setbacks. In August, she had complications and was rushed to the hospital and needed to be airlifted to another hospital for emergency surgery. She had to spend over three weeks in ICU before being able to come home. Since then, she has needed to undergo multiple surgeries over the past few months and she has been admitted to the hospital repeatedly. As a result, Amy has not been able to begin her MUCH NEEDED cancer treatments and has had to take a medical leave of absence from her employer. The emotional, physical and financial impact this has had on their family has been devastating.

The Miller’s youngest child has special needs, and in Amy’s current condition she is unable to provide the level of care that he requires. Steve, Amy’s husband, serves our country in the U.S. Army after having previously worked as a First Responder. With Steve getting their two older children to their after school activities and sports, Amy is often on her own without the ability to assist her son with his needs.

While the local community has been extremely generous, Amy’s inability to work has put an enormous financial strain on the family. Their immediate family members are helping as much as they can, but the holidays are fast approaching, Amy’s medical bills and transportation costs are mounting.

Let’s unite and provide this loving family with every ounce of support we can muster. They wouldn’t hesitate to help anyone else in need, so please help them in any way you can.
