Rally for Tim
On Saturday November 16, Tim was helping his parents with some repairs at their home, when he fell from an elevation and had a severe L2 burst fracture. Sunday he went into surgery to repair the damage. They were able to do the repairs, he did GREAT in surgery and the Dr was VERY pleased with how it went. Tim’s surgeon did a spinal fusion between L1 &L3 with a cage around L2 for support. Tim will be out of work approximately 3 months. They will hopefully be moving Tim to Bryn Mawr Rehab by the end of this week where he will be rehabbing for a week minimum. Kim, Tim’s fiancé has gone over their finances and she is unable to carry the load on her own.
Tim has been a volunteer firefighter for 28+ years, is a hard worker that has one full time job and one part time job, he is a stepdad aka Squirrel (step son’s nickname for him), great friend and loving fiancé. He has given so much to his community, too.
With rent, car/truck payments, household bills, insurance, gas, groceries and even Christmas coming, Kim cannot cover it all. Not to mention the medical bills and co pays over the coming months. Tim also does not have short term disability or anything to help with loss of wages.
T’is the season for giving, please find it in your heart to give to this injured firefighter, fiancé, friend and stepfather.
