Friends of Josh Enyart for Cancer Treatment

Donation protected
On Sept 17th, Josh was diagnosed with rectal cancer. After a few tests, we found out on Oct 2, 2018 that it was stage 3. Several different tests and procedures had to take place before he could start treatment. He was able to be enrolled in Sloan Kettering’s research program for colorectal cancer, where they are trying to eliminate surgery, as there are many complications and change of life that comes with it. Nov 5, 2018 he started his 1st treatment, which was 6 weeks of radiation 5 days a week, along with wearing a chemo pump 7 days a week for the whole 6 weeks. Testing was done a month after, and they showed 25-30% shrinkage in the tumor. 2nd round of treatment, which is just chemo, began Feb 5, 2019. Once every 2 weeks he goes in for premeds and chemo for 8 hours, comes home with a pump to wear for 2 days. Side effects he has so far with that are cold sensitivity, which feels like knives stabbing his fingers, and a touch of neuropathy. He is scheduled to be done with this round May 15th! We are standing firm that the tumor will be gone before this round is done, and he won’t have to go through surgery!!!!!
