Today, I want to share the story of a remarkable woman whose passion, dedication, and love for equestrian sports have touched countless lives. Stephanie Cook, a devoted equestrian and an inspiring coach, recently experienced a nearly tragic horse accident at the Tryon International Equestrian Center in North Carolina. This devastating incident resulted in Stephanie breaking her neck and landing her in the ICU since Saturday.

Stephanie's injuries are substantial, and her road to recovery is anticipated to be long and arduous—at least a year or more, according to her doctors. Despite the immense challenges ahead, Stephanie’s spirit remains resilient and hopeful. However, she needs our support now more than ever to maintain her positivity and to help her through this difficult journey.

Since the accident, Stephanie has undergone 14 scans, including MRI and CT, a surgery to repair & stabilize her neck, and countless medications and pain management treatments. She has endured four and counting stays in the ICU, each time fighting with incredible courage and strength. The path ahead involves extensive rehabilitation in Houston, TX, far from her home in the San Antonio area, requiring special transportation to bring her home safely.

Stephanie’s life has always been about more than just herself. She is dedicated to developing riders to be the best they can be, focusing intently on both the riders and the horses. Her passion for equestrian sports has inspired many, and her impact on the community is immeasurable. Now, it’s our turn to give back to someone who has given so much.
