Rallying Support for Corey & Chris

Hello Wonderful People,

My older brother Corey is currently in a fight for his life against Lymphoma. Corey's cancer (Stage 4 Double Hit High Grade B Cell Lymphoma) is an aggressive, fast growing one. At the end of July, he sought medical advice for some troublesome heart burn and his life was turned upside down when he received a Stage 4 cancer diagnosis. Since that time, his days have been a constant fight against pain, dealing with side effects from the medication, and having frequent medical appointments and hospitalizations.

Corey is an Army Chaplain who has served two tours of duty in Afghanistan, and Chris, his devoted wife, is a teacher who has taught all around the world wherever she was stationed with Corey. However, Chris has taken leave from her job in order to be by Corey's side while he battles this grueling medical challenge. She is with him night/day in the hospital. Unfortunately, this leaves their household down an income.

I (Corey's Sister) am creating this GoFundMe page to help provide some financial support so that they can focus on his treatment and minimize their concerns about finances over the next several months. While he is fortunate to have medical insurance, we all know there are extra expenses that are out-of-pocket when facing extended stays in the hospital along with frequent travel to Anschutz Medical Center in Denver from their home in Colorado Springs. Any donations will go directly towards covering these out-of-pocket costs and helping relive stress associated with the loss of income.

They have both been hesitant to ask for help and have noted that any funds raised that are not utilized by them would be donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
