Hi, my name is Ralph and I am asking for help with moving and living expenses after becoming disabled. I lost my caregiving job of 10 years after my friend's mom (and someone who I cared for as if she was my own mother) unfortunately passed away. A few weeks later, I ended up in the hospital with a horrible infection in my foot. During my almost 2 month stay in the hospital, I had to have my left leg amputated below the knee. While I am home now, I can not stay here much longer. My rent was taken care of while I was in the hospital, but I couldn't get help for May's rent, and I'm afraid I'll be evicted soon. I have applied for disability, but it'll be more than a year before I receive a decision. Before all this happened, I was planning to move to Georgia to live with my fiance, who is trying to get her and her 2 kids away from her abusive husband. I'm asking for help to rent a van to move, a night or two at a hotel while in transit, maybe more nights at a hotel if I have to leave before our new apartment is ready and some extra to help her pay the rent and bills till I can start working again or start receiving disability.
