Ramadan campaign for Palestinian refugees, orphans, martyrs.

As-Salamu Alaikum,

My name is Carolina Pedrazzi, and I am a freelance journalist who has spent significant time reporting from the West Bank. Ramadan Mubarak, and thank you for considering this fundraiser.

Every year, my dear friend and brother, Imam Khaled al-Kateeb—an English teacher and taxi driver from a small farming village near Bethlehem—organizes a Ramadan charity initiative. He collects donations from local families to redistribute among Palestinian families in refugee camps, including orphans, the wounded, and the relatives of martyrs. His campaigns have been a lifeline for many in these communities.

However, this year, due to intensified Israeli military operations, the freezing of Palestinian funds by Israeli banks, and the worsening economic crisis, many families who once donated are now struggling themselves. As a result, the usual flow of local support has been severely impacted.

This is why we are reaching out to you. Your donation—no matter the amountcan make a real difference for those in dire need this Ramadan in the West Bank. Every dollar will go directly to Khaled’s campaign to provide food, medical aid, and essential support to Palestinian families.

May Allah reward your generosity. Jazakum Allahu Khayran.

Here is a message by Khaled, where he describes what the money collection will do:

Peace be upon you, my dear brother or sister. We ask God that this year’s Ramadan will be a month of goodness, blessings, and liberation of Al-Aqsa from the Occupation. God willing, we will carry out three charitable projects targeting refugee camps in the city of Bethlehem and some villages threatened by the Occupation.
The first project, which will start in the first ten days, will cover the needs of 350 families. We will distribute charitable food parcels that will suffice the family for ten days during the holy month of Ramadan.
The second project is to make food, clothing, educational material donations to each family in need as Zakat al-Sam’ to help cover their needs during the holy month of Ramadan.
The third project is a group Iftar for 400 people from the families of martyrs, the wounded, and orphans.
Share this with your brothers and friends, and may God bless you.
