Ramadan Fundraiser: A Message from Nazee Borio

As Ramadan approaches, we are inspired once again by the success of our previous initiatives to extend support to those who may struggle during this blessed month. For the past five years, we have come together to make a meaningful difference—and with your generosity, we are ready to continue this mission.

Our goal is simple yet impactful: to provide essential food packages to as many struggling families as possible, ensuring they have the necessities to sustain them throughout Ramadan. Last year, thanks to your kindness, we were able to support over 100 families in Mamyam, District Rawalpindi—a village dear to us as it is where I was born.

We have always believed in helping those in need, whether in the UK or back home in Pakistan. Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a tremendous difference in alleviating poverty and hunger. With your help, we can continue this journey together.

In collaboration with local traders—who also benefit from this initiative—each thoughtfully prepared food package includes:

20 kg of flour

5 kg of rice

3 litres of cooking oil

100 g of tea

4 kg of assorted pulses

250 g of milk

3 packs of soap

1 kg of salt

5 kg of sugar

1 kg of dates

A large bottle of squash

Each package costs just £24.00, enough to sustain a family of five for the entire month.

As we strive to perfect our faith, let us remember the words of the Prophet (peace be upon him): “He is not a believer who eats his fill while his neighbour beside him goes hungry.”
