Ramon Family & Baby Linc

Hey everyone, my name is Megan Melendez and I’m starting this fundraiser to help Stefano, Juliet, Luxi & Lincoln Ramon. Recently Baby Linc was hospitalized and it’s been a grueling week for this sweet family waiting for answers on what is wrong with this baby boy.

After being in the hospital for 5 days he was diagnosed with MSSA. It is a type of staph. On the following day Linc was diagnosed with pneumonia and they did an ultrasound to check the fluid to see if it’s inflammation, mucus, or fluid and depending on the results they may have to drain it.

There is a leak in his picc line somewhere so they did an ultrasound on it to see if there is a clot. If there is they may have to give him a new picc line. For now they gave him a new IV in his foot so he can have fluids. They attempted once and failed so had to call a specialist who was successful.

Due to the respiratory issues they cancelled his swallow test and he will continue to be on belly rest (no milk only IV fluids)

His skin mottling is getting worse again which is concerning.

Infectious disease said they are waiting on another test and may treat him for meningitis which would be at least a 2 week treatment.

He is now on heated high flow oxygen.. over night his respiratory rate was in the 60s, this morning it was 70s, now it’s in the 80s so they are upping his oxygen again.

The good news is, his labs came back and his numbers look a little better so the antibiotics are working.

Luxi hasn’t seen him at all because she is too young to be in ICU and he is also in isolation. Me and her have also never been apart this long and we miss each other so much. Stefano has been packing things for me, doing laundry, cleaning, trying to keep up with work, trying to be there for Luxi, and traveling back and fourth - it’s over an hour drive so over 2 hours in the car just driving back and fourth each time and he is exhausted too. My mom has been helping with Luxi and also staying with me here some nights and she’s exhausted as well. My dad, Tom and Jackie are also trying to juggle everything and are taking turns with Luxi as well. We are thinking about getting a hotel room close for a night or two so I can stay with Luxi some but I’m not sure what that will look like or if it is a possibility.

Im looking for some sunshine in this massive storm.
