Ramona Johnson Cancer
Many people in the Comox Valley Community know Ramona Johnson for her work as manager of I-Hos Gallery. Ramona opened the Gallery as manager in 1995. Ramona is well known for dedication and supporting on many community events. Children’s Telethon, Music Fest to name a couple.
Ramona has been diagnosed with Stage 3C Breast Cancer in April 2021, with a small chance of being curable. Ramona fought and won with cancer in November 2016, with grade 2 Uterine cancer. Ramona is a FIGHTER!!! She will be doing 8 cycles of chemotherapy every 2 weeks. Starting date April 29th 2021. Chemotherapy will be followed with a double breast mastectomy, surgery on armpit and neck for the removal of lymph nodes, followed by Radiation. Ramona will then have 10-15 years hormone treatments.
Ramona’s husband, Charlie Johnson, had a
severe stroke in November 2020. Charlie’s. was a self employed full time carver. He is no
longer able to work as he has lost movement
in his right arm and hand. To help Ramona
face expenses from loss of work during this
time we are setting up a Go Fund Me Page.
Ramona will be faced with being off work
1 year or longer.
