Roy contracted COVID mid-April 2021 and within a week was hospitalized as a critical case with pneumonia. Elizabeth contracted COVID a few days after Roy and the following week was also hospitalized with pneumonia.
While Elizabeth has improved and was sent home on oxygen, Roy is still in the hospital and not improving.
As of May 13, 2021, the family is waiting for Roy to be life-flighted to the Houston Med Center for a higher level of care.
We are both unable to work at this time and don't know how long that will continue. There will also be a lot of travel between our home in Brownsville and the hospitals in Houston throughout the recovery time.
